On Friday, October 14, 2011, Piedmont Community Bank was closed by the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, and the FDIC was appointed receiver. State Bank has purchased the assets and deposits of Piedmont Community Bank.
On October 15, both the Gray and Macon branches of Piedmont Community Bank became branches of State Bank. At State Bank, your deposits are safe, sound and readily accessible. You may continue everyday banking with State Bank just as you did before. Use your same checks, ATM and Debit cards.
